Long-time Lamborghini owner, and somewhat of an alternate-parts expert. Some of you may remember me from my infamous Gallardo AC-control rebuild using scrap Audi A8 parts.

Now rocking a Huracan after my beloved pre-LP Gallardo was drowned by Huracan Ian.

It was parked in a garage miles from the ocean - what caused the problem was floodwater from the rain that just had nowhere to go thanks to the storm surge. It only took 12" of water to kill it.

It must of been devastating to see your pride and joy destroyed. Hopefully insurance covered it and didn't take forever for them to send a check.

State Farm cut me a check a couple of days after collecting the car - which I pontificated on for a couple of weeks as it looked perfect still. Gave me a very fair valuation given the Gallardo only had 15,000 miles. Hundreds of exotics were lost in my area in that storm - some houses had half a dozen flooded exotics waiting for collection - it was a catastrophe.
