I've had the car for a few years now and always been careful not to floor it right off the start. I got new rear tires on yesterday and tried to be more aggressive on the pedal to test things out, I can feel all 4 wheels spinning, the rpm red line come ups so damn fast and next thing you know you are at prison speeds! I'm still nervous and haven't completely floored it yet, it's close but I'm uneasy, I don't want the car to jump into the ditch.

I don't think I've ever floored the car immediately after a cold start. But at a traffic light or when entering the freeway, I have. I usually check the road ahead first, and if it’s smooth with no potholes, it's generally safe. Potholes can be dangerous because they may cause the ESC to overcorrect.
