Flat tire or broke down and need to have your car towed and your damn manual is at home?
Try to park somewhere safe for you and the truck driver. Stuck on the highway without a shoulder or somewhere it can be dangerous, call the police so they can close the road so the tow truck can pick the car up.

When safe and while waiting for the tow truck to arrive here's a quick break down. Make sure to tell them you have a sports car and to bring pieces of wood to climb the truck flat bed. If your car is running and driving it's easier to just drive up the bed and you won't need the tow hook. ( I didn't need the took hook after all)

Put your nose lift up
Put your fingers through the the right side grill and pull outward to expose the tow hook receptacle,
Pull out the the tow hook plug
Retrieve the tow hook from the left saddle bag in the frunk
Screw it by hand all the way and it possible use some bar to screw it some more.
Press the alarm off button in the driver's side door(Inside the pocket)
Put the grill and plug back in the car
Once on the bed put the car in park and activate the parking brake

I'll post how to put the car in neutral some time later if the car doesn't start.

Some other advice, it is helpful if you know more than tow truck drivers because they will make mistakes. The driver put those aluminum ramps(see picture above) but they were not flush from the road to his bed and if I drove over them they would see sawed and slammed into the car. I showed him how to put the pieces of wood. I was also about to tell him to raise his rpm on his PTO because the controls were unresponsive and he couldn't raise the bed, after a few minutes he figured it out. I didn't want to micro manage the guy so I watched him.

He said it wasn't his usual truck, and he confided on his way he was afraid he was going to be in a dangerous position on the highway because there wasn't any shoulder. I replied as the tire quickly deflated on my dash I looked for the construction entrance and took it, then I backed up between concrete barriers so I had all the time in the world to check my tire while being safe from the fast traffic.

He asked me once inside the truck how come you know so much? I replied I've been offroading trucks for many years. I extracted so many vehicles including my own from mud, from snow from rivers or stuck in between trees and rocks...

I should of taken over the controls of the tow truck back home because he scraped the hell out of the asphalt but that's okay it's too far gone anyway. I gave him a good tip and he was grateful. I told him you took care to not damage the car, that's what mattered.

I had to use a tow back home because my rear tire wore out on the inside. Before calling the tow truck I had jacked the car, took the wheel off and tried to patch it but it was too far gone. Before you ask I always check my tires when I do my oil changes and it was still good. Those wide azz tires wear out quickly from the insides and not always easy to go check. The rims are unscathed.
