The sub looks great on your wrist! I'm thinking to grab an Air King maybe as my Christmas present this year. I've been thinking about it but always bought something else cheaper in the end :)

I never had the patience to sit on waiting lists or join preferred customer lists. I am usually the type who just buys what is available on the floor, except when I consign items. That goes for Rolex, Hermes, and most other brands.

On the other hand, the Batman and many other pieces are also available at retailers here. All genuine. No waiting needed. You can just come here to Tokyo and buy them.
Wow…i didnt think they were avail anywhere without playing this Rolex AD game

Yes, they are available in non-dealer stores. Because of their rarity, they are selling a bit above the avg pricing you normally get at the dealer. But it's nothing really, since Japanese Yen is so cheap. Plus, you don't need to wait or playing the AD game.

For Rolex owners, so many counterfeits in this documentary. They mentioned chono24 which I came aware of a few weeks ago looking for Tonino Lamborghini watch. The listings were very dubious. One specific watch had pictures taken all over the net not having the same color or the same model, I realised it's probably a scam site.

Another interesting fact, to be considered Swiss made it needs 60% of it to qualify. That may be the reason why my latest Tonino doesn't state Swiss made.

Always use escrow service when dealing in chrono24 & send the watch in to the maker to authenticate. Rolex is like number 1 brand that is heavily counterfeited.

I never seen escrow on online shopping. It's always having to pay first then they ship you the merchandise.

I think Chrono24 now offers an escrow service. Basically you pay Chrono24 directly, and the funds are released to the seller only after 7 to 14 days if there are no issues. They also offer an authentication service, although I am not sure how reliable it is. I bet they offer these because they got so many complaints.

Or just buy the watch here. Buying online is most likely safe because the penalties are severe. If you receive a fake, you can call the police and the seller may be detained for interrogation for up to 30 days without bail.

I've been trying so many things so the latest Tonino watch fit my wrist and not chaff. I tried putting more links on the backside which helped a little but not loose enough after 20 minutes of wearing it. When I put an extra link it was way too loose. I tried gel pads under the watch, shims under the butterfly clasp but it still chaffed and my skin became sore and raw. I contacted Tonino if they have half links but I was ignored.

I decided to get the sewing machine out and make myself a micro suede strap with a stretch band as a second layer to be able to slip it on my wrist. At last with all the links installed it fits better and comfortable.

I ordered a new silver Tonino watch but even though I prefer the metal bracelet look, I ordered it with a black leather strap so I don't have to deal with this nonsense again.

Now I feel kind of stupid paying for a genuine Daytona ;)

It would suck you have the real thing and another guy walks up with the same model but his is a fake and since it's so well made you can't tell the difference without a magnifying glass.

I had no idea fakes were getting that good or that they were this prevalent. It's wild how there's dedicated clone factories in China. But I guess when counterfeits are that lucrative a business, it's worth the risk to them.

I received the stainless steel Tonino Lamborghini with the leather strap today. I asked them if I could buy a separate stainless bracelet, I received a message it was going to be forwarded to the proper department but no answer yet after 6 days. Hopefully I can get get one, I do not want to buy a complete watch just for the bracelet. On the website we do not see the backside where it clips. Once again as soon as I purchased it went out of stock.

Because it has lighter colors you can see more definition. I still prefer the black one though.

I got a reply from them about the black watch, they do not sell half links but that's okay I made it work.

I bought this on eBay recently. It was broken and being sold cheap for parts. I ended up liking it way more than I expected. Did a little homework, and decided to send it off to get repaired. At the end of it all, it will probably cost as much, if not more than if I bought it in perfect working order. I like saving stuff like this, so I find myself in another unexpected Lamborghini restoration project :)

Sometimes we have no choice to put money in something we like when there's no other option. It surely has been discontinued a long time ago and rare.

The other week I had a leather belt pouch repaired by a leathersmith because I couldn't find a new one that was similar. The leathersmith found it a little strange I was ready to pay the price of a new one for a repair. I couldn't be happier he agreed to patch it.

This looks like Luzifer's style with the orange dial and as a bonus it's even being sold out of Canada so no lengthy shipping/customs:

I find that one a little strange, orange, gold and silver, not for me.

I hadn't received any news from Tonino about the bracelet, meanwhile I had ordered an adjustable stainless steel watch bracelet on Ali express. I shaved the first link to fit the slot and drilled a hole to fill in the gap. However when I drilled a new hole on the other side, the cobalt drill bit broke inside and was stuck in place. So I ordered 2 more bracelet to try again when they get here.

Today I received a reply from Tonino they found a spare bracelet at a cost of $340$ CAD plus I suppose an extra $50 in duty fees. Now I'm not sure I want to pay that much for the real one. I managed to wear the damaged $12 Ali express bracelet all afternoon and it looks even better! Should I buy the original??

I'd say buy original.

That Ali one looks like something from a rough cnc machine operated by half-wit oompa loompa.

I guess you have sharper eyes than me. I will order the real one fearing I'll never have this chance again. I'll see if wearing my home made band makes it comfortable if not I'm happy to put on the Aliexpress bracelet.
