I was walking back to my car behind a large department store, several teenager were throwing toilet plungers at the sign hoping they would stick. When they saw me they stopped, one of them said, "is that your Lambo over there."
"Yeah."
"Nice."
They decided to scoot because it wasn't working and I think they broke one of the light inside the one they were throwing at. They hadn't planned it well the boulevard ran parallel with people stopped at the right light watching them...

Throwing plunger at the sign? Probably for social media views. The new gens are getting dumber and the AI is getting smarter.

Oh man, I can relate to a lot of these stories. One of my favs was a younger guy at the gas station asked me if I won the car in a contest and was just dumbfounded that I had it (I guess I'm younger than the typical Lambo demographic) and proceeded to say "man that thing is beautiful, such a work of art, you are lucky".

I also had someone ask me how much the Italian decal was and whether it was custom...I told him it came from the factory like that and he really didn't believe me and said he's "never seen one on a Lambo before". I said "look up huracan performante" and he just looked even more confused. Definitely not a car guy...of all the things to ask about he focused in on the tricolore decal 🤣

Haha, I am convinced most people only know supercars as F cars.

A kid stared at my car's emblem with absolute seriousness, then turned to his dad and said, “Wow… it’s a Lambojini!”

Kids here know their supercars. They surely play a ton of videogames to know each brand and model.

I was out for a few errands and checked out if the chip stand was open after closing for winter. As I approached funny how the guy stuck his head out checking if I was with one of the cars. Not yet, the streets are not nice and the snow only started to melt a bit. In my area the potholes are so bad today I was literally going in the opposite lane not to damage my truck.

Anyway he had just opened a few days prior and and the snowbank was literally blocking the view of the place. I gave him a few ideas like posting signs in a few spots they were open so he would gain some business. Maybe even flashing sign would help.

Do people ever fix the road themselves, or is that considered dangerous? I feel like a bag of gravel and sand could solve the problem, followed by a polite invoice to the city. Probably faster than waiting for them to show up. Once I had a pothole near my property and I dumped a bag of mixed gravel and sand into it. Then two days later, the city came to fix it in hurry. I think someone complained about my work of art.

No one fixes potholes except he city. Every time the weather become mild during winter and spring the asphalt breaks apart creating holes. Many streets there's so much damage it's incredible and the city can't keep up, 2-3 weeks later the patches break off again. The mayor loves to spend money on jewelry instead of the infrastructure. Another guy at city hall just accused the female mayor of more corruption and doing illegal activities. Those women voters love to vote for this female mayor turning 2 blinds eyes on these shenanigans.

Sounds like you're the famous car guy in your town! Does the vendor like the lambo or vette better? Also, what's so great about these chips are there different toppings you can get? Is this like a poutine? Maybe you can share some pics next time you go, I'd be curious to see these legendary fries.

A few years ago when I pulled up in the Vette the young guy seemed a bit standoffish, he seemed a little bit jealous. I think his mother bought the chip stand from the previous owner and he helps her out but it didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I felt he resented me or those who made money to buy nice things. After some time I think he came to terms with the family business and I think there was relief when he found out I was not born into money and told him I drive my work van in the winter. He also saw me in work clothes.

He likes the Lambo for sure, I can see him get out of the stand when he hears the engine coming. I always go for the poutine, the fries are better than the other places. I never felt the need to try anything else on the menu. I also like the place as it's in a large parking lot where I can watch the car and halfway to the tool store. It's more fun to do for a drive when you have a purpose to go somewhere.

He's going to be jealous of that fancy new Lambo hat, could bring on more resentment. If you end up buying another one, you could always give him the one from eBay as a nice gesture and hope he doesn't notice the crooked print on it ;)

Sounds like a pretty sweet summertime spot! Just don't forget the wet naps before you get back in the car...poutine is messy haha. I can't remember the last time I had it but Canada def does it best.

Enjoyed reading the stories,

I have a few. My funniest would be from last spring. Came out of a breakfast place with my wife.

Kid- maybe 5 and mom were taking pics, Boy says whoa this is your car! I said - yes, thanks you want to have a seat inside? I opened the door to the gallardo, boy says to his mom- hey mom, I thought the doors go up?! Mom says no hunnie, not all lambos doors go up. Boy says- not the cool ones I guess. And walks off toward their car in the parking lot.

Me and the wife had a good laugh.

I don't think I told this one yet, the first summer I had the car I parked in front of my ex's condo. Back home a couple later my ex said her neighbor spoke to her, she was so excited, she went nuts about the car, "it was her dream car" and asked her if some day she could have a seat in it. One week later the woman and her boyfriend had a heated argument about the car, there was some jealousy or something and they broke up.

I think the break up wasn't entirely about the car but it was probably the last straw.
