Wow that's pretty stupid of him. If he would of been nice who knows he might of gotten a tip.
For me usually when I work for those that are wealthy they are arrogant. I once worked for a semi retired attorney who had a firm. The house looked like huge commercial building, epoxy floors throughout the house, in the garage and a porsche logo imbedded in the epoxy. His attitude changed when he saw the diecast lambo on my dash. He tried not to pay taxes then he refused to pay at bill at all. He had the audacity to ask me after I did some work if I was going to charge him again because he had ordered a wrong part. He ignored my phone call to get paid until I sent him a text, a text nowadays has legal value and can't be ignored and finally got paid. It was only a few hundred dollar bill!
I'm working on the garage and need to put the lambo in the driveway during the daytime, it's such a chore to move both cars, rush put covers on, a bunch of cardboard to disguise the shape of the lambo and put my work van in such a way it's harder to see the car from the main artery. I remember you suggesting some privacy screens. I should look into it.
I think Amazon has some garden privacy screens. One side is fixed with a rolled curtain you can pull across and lock on the other side. I’m not sure how sturdy the unit is in strong winds, and since the bolts and fittings are made in China, the quality is most likely subpar.
As for the installer, he seemed to think I had a small oil reserve. Despite being rude and intimidating, he actually asked if I planned to order a third and fourth AC because he said he'd be ready to install them for me. LOL. It's amazing he thought intimidation would win him business. I may look like a mild nerd on the outside, but there’s plenty of hail and storm inside if someone crosses me.
After consulting with a lawyer, he suggested me giving out business cards with the following writing (in Japanese of course). Video cams like car cam recorder ensures that both parties are protected in case of dispute and troubles can be avoided:
