That's wild people are that excited over an 11 year old Lambo! Our Huracans are getting old now. I think a big reason your car attracts so much attention is because it's bright orange. I can tell you in my black Perf and black LP610 before it, it's much more stealth I don't get bothered near as much as you. In traffic the odd enthusiast recognizes it and will thumbs up or wave, but for the most part people don't look twice.

I know you love orange but if you don't like all the attention you may want to pivot to a less flashy color, it helps fly under the radar and may make your ownership experience more enjoyable. Personally, I would never have the confidence or patience to own a skittle color - hearing about your experiences confirms that! Bright colors scream "look at me" and attract attention from exactly the people you described haha no thank you I like to blend in as much as possible despite driving a Lambo but I know everyone is different.

The cars might be getting mechanically old but to most people they don't know that as they rarely see them anyway. They as exotics are something foreign something unique and generally speaking something nice to look at. Many people ask me what it is, they don't even know what brand even when I see them looking at the badge and I was stunned when a portion of these people don't know what Lamborghini is, to them it could be just another Corvette.

When I was researching about these cars and seeing at all those black or white ones I wasn't thrilled to pay that much for something that goes fast in a regular color, the price tag didn't make sense to me. It's sad that nowaday manufacturers produce all those boring colors, black, gray, white, it reminds me of a hoard of zombies that have been out in the elements for ages, rain sun and mud the color on the clothes have completely faded away.

When I saw borealis was like the gorgeous hot chick I can never have. I now have the next best thing. :p

Fair enough, good point. It certainly comes with the territory owning a bright color like that, so I guess you can't blame people as the color attracts them like mosquitoes to a neon bug zapper. But I mean it does make it more exciting for the rest of us to read about all these interactions haha. Have you seen the guy at the chip stand yet this season? I know he's a big fan.

There's some unwanted attention for sure like those who run up to you or those who flat drive alongside you on the highway but a lot of it is cool, like kids reactions, fast bikes and sometimes interactions with people. Like the guy who had down syndrome, that was an interesting chat. Not sure if I recounted that one here or the other place.

From the corner of my eye I think I got the middle finger yesterday from a jewish man with that strange looking hair.

Yesterday I decided to forego my reno to go out as it was going to be a nice day and going for a drive to enjoy the nice weather before it gets too hot and miserable. I went out to test the sound levels, did some shopping at a far location to enjoy the drive on the highway, then I went to the restaurant where it was too full the evening prior and continued on my drive, I ended near my place and stopped at a small shop for ice cream (I avoid the big chain place with long lineups). I was waiting for my order when two fast bikes saw the parked car turned around and admired it and proceeded to rev their bikes a little bit. They were probably wanting to see a reaction from the small crowd to see who it belonged to, I just watched the show to remain anonymous, the other people were also intrigued at the spectacle it was entertaining.

@6102Perf Why did you get rid of your LP610? This would be good for another thread but I'm always curious why guys buy a sports and sell it a few months later. When I buy something I'm usually the last owner.

Because I always wanted a Performante initially, but could never find one in the spec I wanted (black coupe with interior trim accent other than yellow). While Huracan shopping through a couple local exotic dealers (I asked them to locate a Perf for me in the above spec) they found me a different black coupe.

The owner of one of the local dealerships had a good friend with an ultra clean single owner black LP 610-4 coupe well optioned with only 6000 miles. They brought it in for me to see and it was so pristine and well serviced I couldn't not buy it.

So I enjoyed that car for about a year or so. But I still had the itch for a Performante. And I figured Perfs weren't going to go down in price so I told myself if I find one in a spec I like, I'm going for it. Lo and behold, a beautiful gloss black coupe with orange interior accents and orange calipers became available. Super clean, low miles. So I made the move to trade in my car and use the tax advantage to just pay cash on the difference to slide into the Perf.

It would've been a complete redundancy to own two similar Huracans, so I swapped out the 610 hence my username haha. But I will likely keep the Perf long term and add to it if I ever get something else - it's just too good. I own several vehicles but I've always tried to limit myself to just one supercar at a time in my bid to be somewhat financially responsible :)

Hard not to love this spec. Photos are from first day I received it when it was delivered to my detail shop:

And while we're on the topic, I think I mentioned this a while back, but my MR collection model came in. Pretty cool to find one so close to my car. It doesn't have the center lock wheels, but hey close enough!

Good thing you had a tax advantage, I guess that means you didn't pay taxes on the perf while trading in the 610? I hope the trade in value wasn't too bad. Here you get taxed every time plus the low ball trade in value. It's crazy money and unless you have FU money it's mind boggling to swap cars so soon.

Just the taxes alone on the Huracan could of afforded me a nice new vehicle.

Very cool!

I've noticed all the die casts I bought you will never have an exact copy, there's always something different, improper wheels, not the right colored wheels, brake caliper color, seat colors etc. Even my 1 : 8 I realized I didn't think to paint past the front gille in black.
